What does a site see when I arrive?
IP address, provider, country, declared browser. What any site learns about you before you have clicked on anything.
This tool queries an outside service. What leaves is cut to the strict minimum, and it is spelled out inside the tool.
What a site sees when you arrive
None of this was asked of you: it comes with every connection you make, to every site, before you click on anything.

The connection half needs a server, because only a remote machine can tell you how it sees you. It is this site's own server: no third-party geolocation service is contacted, and nothing is logged. The browser half needs no request at all.
