Do not call the number. Ever.That is the entire point of the trick: get you on the phone so you install remote-control software.Force-quit the browser.On Windows, Ctrl + Alt + Delete then Task Manager. On Mac, Cmd + Option + Esc. The screen goes away with the browser.Reopen the browser without restoring tabs.Otherwise the page comes back, and the fear with it.

Cut the machine off the internet.Unplug the cable or switch off Wi-Fi. That ends the remote session immediately.Uninstall whatever they had you install.AnyDesk, TeamViewer, UltraViewer: legitimate tools, misused. While they are installed, access remains possible.If you paid: stop order, then report it.A refund is possible, but speed decides it.My card has been charged

Change the passwords used on that machine.From another device. During the remote session, anything open could be read.Install an ad blocker.Most of these screens arrive through an ad network, not a hacked site.
